Meet The Zedger: Keith Broni

Q: What's your name?

A: Keith Broni.

Q: Where are you from and where do you live now?

A: I’m from Dublin, Ireland, which is also where I’m currently living.

Q: What's your role at Zedge? What do you do most days at work?

A: I’m the Product Manager/Editor-In-Chief of Emojipedia.org – the world’s #1 resource for all things emoji: information, images, experiences, and news.

Q: How long ago did you join Zedge?

A: I joined Zedge when they acquired Emojipedia in August 2021, though I have been with Emojipedia itself since January 2018.

Q: What do you do when you're not working?

A: I try to travel as often as I can, as I love experiencing new cities and natural wonders. Both abroad and at home I enjoy hiking, and at home I can often be found taking part in different obstacle course challenge runs. I’m also an avid live music fan and film buff, so during the evenings you’re most likely to find me in a dark room with either a beer or some popcorn (or occasionally both).

Q: What's your favorite thing about Zedge?

A: I really enjoy the collaborative nature of the company, as well as the transparency between the organization’s various business units. Running Emojipedia involves contributions across a variety of different teams, and everyone’s default state is to be proactive and collaborative with one another.

Q: What drives you crazy about your job?

A: Nothing really “drives me crazy," but one difficult I can definitely face is when there’s some breaking emoji news Irish evening time (which is morning in San Francisco). When that happens, regardless of how long I’ve already been working for that day, I can end up having to work quite late to provide the world’s most comprehensive and useful coverage – that’s what we do at Emojipedia, after all.

Q: What advice do you have for Zedge Premium artists?

A: Consider what emotions you want Zedge users to feel when viewing your art - how do you want it to make them feel? Also, have you considered tagging your art with different emojis that reflect the subject matter of your art?
